2. Sāṅkhya Yoga

साङ्ख्ययोग — The Eternal Reality of the Self

The philosophical core of the entire Gītā. Lord Krishna teaches Arjuna that the True Self (Ātman) is immortal and unaffected by physical death, and introduces the revolutionary discipline of Karma Yoga — acting with complete dedication without attachment to results.

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥
"You have a right only to work, never to its fruits; let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction."
